Oct. 6, 2017  –  8:00 -11:00 pm

at Lake County History Center, 415 Riverside Drive, Painesville, Ohio  44077

Do ghosts and spirits really haunt the former Lake County Poorhouse? Come take a walk through the long dark corridors with nothing but a candlelight to illuminate the way. Escape into the past as our guides provide you with an eerie yet fun-filled adventure! You’ll visit all the locations around the Lake County History Center where shadows and ghostly figures have said to have been sighted. You’ll go to off-limits areas where many have reported hearing creepy sounds and feeling unseen hands touch them. You’ll hear stories of unbelievable historically documented events that have taken place in the past, including those in the infirmary and attic. And, we’ll even visit the foreboding cells used in the bygone days of the Lake County Poorhouse. We will demonstrate and you may borrow “ghost hunting” equipment, such as EMF detectors and dowsing rods, while on your tour! (or bring your own equipment – paranormal activity has been documented many times on previous explorations of the LCHS)

The exclusive lantern-lit tour is only open to 20 participants. This event is not suitable for children.

Tickets: Adults: $20     Buy online, by mail, by phone or in person at the Lake History Center.  Need more information? Call 440-639-2945 .

Event: “The Para X Experience”

Nov. 3, 2017  –  9:00 pm -1:00 am

at Lake County History Center, 415 Riverside Drive, Painesville, Ohio  44077
The property, located at Riverside Drive and Route 84 in Painesville Twp., is now known as the Lake County History Center – but hasn’t always been so. From 1852 until 2004 it was the Lake County Poor House (Lake County Home) and was used to house the indigent of our county. The stories of the real people who were a part of the Lake County Home range from mildly humorous to downright terrifying. Come explore the place from a paranormal investigative perspective and find out for yourself just what might be haunting the former Poor House!
All groups will be led by experienced paranormal investigators from various teams, such as: The Haunted Housewives, Investigators of the Past, and others.
  • Doors will open at 8:15pm. The investigation will begin by 9pm and conclude by 1am.
  • Bring a camera, flashlight, and any equipment you may wish to use.
  • You must be 18 years of age or over and able to legally sign a liability waiver form. Children may not attend.

Tickets are limited for this very exclusive event to the first 40 sold. This event always sells out quickly. Don’t miss this opportunity for a paranormal investigation offered only once a year at the former Lake County Poor House!

Contact Cathi Weber at cweber@willoughbyghostwalk.com if you need any further information.
Tickets: Adults: $40     Buy online, by mail, by phone or in person at the Lake History Center.
